It’s been such a long while and I have been way to busy with other things, but the cassette tape I got in from Swedish punk band Femtekolonnare woke me up from my slumber making me realize I have been putting off things for way too long.
These guys sent me a tape with 7 tracks of their latest work. It’s definitely not punk in its more general sense so no punk-rock tunes on this one. Add some extra speed and mangle it through the grinder and you have a harsh punk sound that makes an impression. A good one if you ask me.
All lyrics are in Swedish and topics are generally a criticism. With song titles like “lazy and stupid cops” and “bands playing bad on expensive equipment” you know what Femtekolonnare is about.
Välkommen till Växjö is a follow up to several CD-R’s releases and a previous tape, but for this one Femtekolonnare went with Ingen Vag Kassetter for their release.
